From fantasy author Sam Sykes (Aeons' Gate) comes a story about budding chef Brianna Jakobsson, who's trying to impress her father but whose best-and only-customers are monsters.
Brianna has big dreams of starting her own restaurant. When her ailing father, a celebrity restaurant magnate, poses a challenge to his only daughter and 15 sons, she sets out to create the best restaurant around!
Thing is, the only city she can afford to set up shop in is Monster City.
Great for fans of Adventure Time and Steven Universe.

One of the best first issues I've read in a while, Brave Chef Brianna is a lighthearted read that anyone can enjoy. I loved the premise from the get go but after reading the first issue I have nothing but good things to say about the series. The story is fun, the characters quirky, and the artwork is cute and well-suited to the series. I give this issue five stars – and I can't wait to see what comes next! Read Full Review

Many times, when people say that a comic book was written for kids but adult will enjoy it too, they mean that there are jokes that play at being kinda dirty, but will go over the kids' heads. Here is it just a fun story that everyone can enjoy because despite the fantastic (in both senses of the word) setting, the characters are charming and relatable to people of all ages. Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal

While there's some room for improvement, this first issue of Brave Chef Brianna is very entertaining. It wears its influences on its sleeve which is fine, but the execution is fairly unique. While I'm not scoring it very high, again, it is worth reading and likely to find a very dedicated fan base that is willing to root for Brianna to take over her father's food empire" which I'm sure she'll inevitably turn down in order to find her own way or some such thing. It was a weird and enjoyable first issue which set a nice tone for the mini series. I found that the beginning of this comic seemed rather rushed and skimmed over, however the rest of the story made up for that. Read Full Review
