  Fans of the movie will be fans of this series. It has a great sense of adventure that the film had, and while the sense of danger may be a bit lost, this book is pretty awesome and worth a pick up. This issue really lets the reader know where the series is headed and all-in-all, it's a fun read. Powell proves he has a great grasp of these character's and this world here, which can be hard. Adapting a world from one piece of media to another is a tough job, but Powell nails it. Read Full Review

  Big Trouble continues to be a tongue-in-cheek, fun and wild ride. This issue adds some clarity to the task at hand and launches Jack and company into the plot. There's plenty of action and a lot of quick-wit dialogue that helps to keep the issue moving at a nice pace. Generally speaking this is a fun read. It's not going to blow your mind, but it is the kind of read where you can kick up your heels have a laugh or two. You know, kind of like reading comics should be like from time to time.   So another great fun comic from the Big Trouble in Little China gang. What it doesn't have in storyline (plot = Jack and Egg travel down the Midnight Road. The end) it really makes up for in humour in the dialogue as the one-liners come thick and fast. I can see though that if you don't "get" the humour, or if you are offended by a lack of political correctness in places, you're really not going to enjoy the comic. Remember that it is based in the 1980's and that helps a lot. The artwork, as with the last one, is not great but is cartoonish and fun and you have enough detail to know who each of the characters are. Read Full Review
