Unlike some of the other comics, you don't have to have seen the movie in order to enjoy this book. It sets itself up pretty well as an independent story. But for those who know and love the movie there are additional payoffs. If you are looking for something enjoyable and fast to read, this could be the fun book for you. Read Full Review

A ton of fun but light on substance, Old Man Jack is a great ersatz sequel to an '80s cult classic. Looking forward to seeing where this goes next. Read Full Review

"Big Trouble in Little China: Old Man Jack" is the perfect type of licensed comic. It's got the style and swagger of its parent, while very much remaining it's own beast. This is it, folks. I will never read another Big Trouble in Little China comic. It made me regret my movie purchase that's how awful this comic is to read. None of the charms is there, none of the personality and none of the entertainment. If you want a bunch of dad jokes, then go for it, pick up Big Trouble in Little China: Old Man Jack. If you don't pick it up and read it then good for you, I wish I could be you. Read Full Review
