Hecate tenaciously continues her mission of scattering graffiti stencil puzzle pieces through the streets of Manhattan, but she's clueless about the growing number of enthusiastic scavenger hunters chasing down each piece of her mysterious project.
Meanwhile, she's thrust into the wild dreams of the rock musical's eccentric cast... all of this is already too exhausting for an introverted artist like Hecate, weven without the continuous and overwhelming distraction of her frenemy's wonderful singing voice.

Feb 09, 2022Boasting a variety of storytelling styles from the full page spreads of Hecate's art to dinner table montages and characterization expanded up on in glances, Iolanda Zanfardino's Hecate's Will #2 unpacks its protagonist's journey and feeling at its own pace leaving time for being deep in thought, taunting the straights, or spending time with old friends. It's art about art, but mainly focuses on Hecate's daily life, friendships/drama, and the personal context behind her images ending up as an intimate character study that embraces the collective (Aka the dinner at the end) and not just navel gazing. Feb 14, 2022'Hecate's Will' continues to shine as a character-driven story full of friendship and love in a found family setting. Zanfardino redefines what "normal" is by exposing what it really is -- taking care of one another. Few comics tell these stories and are rarely as uplifting but 'Hecate's Will' offers a more human experience that is aspirational and inclusive. Read Full Review
