Rosenberg, Boss, and Mauer have definitely got a masterpiece on their hands with 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank, and issue #5 does much to lift it into that vaunted territory. If youre all caught up on the miniseries, then run-dont-walk to get issue #5. If youve yet to start, then the trade paperback should be out this fall " you owe it to yourself to experience this wild, hilarious, and heartfelt ride. Read Full Review

That minor niggle aside, this is still a pretty damn perfect ending to yet another stunningly impressive series from Black Mask Studios. Obviously the release problems have hampered the flow of the series significantly, but if you get a chance to pick up the collected edition, you really owe it to yourself to do just that. You can thank me later. Its razor-sharp, hilariously relatable and surprisingly heartfelt, and if it werent for a certain homeless noir series, would stand alone as the unquestioned jewel in the Black Mask Studios crown. Highest of recommendations for this one, folks. Read Full Review

Just a fantastic ending that has me hoping for more but at the same time hoping we don't Rosenberg leaves a lot up to debate and does so in a way that the adventure will continue through our imagination. If you haven't read the series, this is one to go back to the beginning and see what you're missing. Being able to sit down and read it in one sitting without gaps ups the enjoyment immensely, but even after such a wait, it's completely worth it. Read Full Review

"4 Kids Walk Into A Bank" took time to finally get in our hands as a completed work but it was worth the wait. This is a story that won't be easily forgotten because of how unique it truly was. Read Full Review

Even though the story focuses on the kids, it's not a book for children - it features adult language and violence. But for those old enough to cope with it, it's a powerful tale and impossible to predict (which is always a good thing). Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Alex Mansfield

While this final issue feels a tad discordant with the preceding issues in its rapid pacing and Easter egg littering, it remains a well-structured and affecting look at trying to hold on to the ungraspable. Taken as a whole, and when read as a whole, 4 Kids Walk Into A Bank is one of the most inventive and sincere series to come out in years. It works because there's an earnestness, a personal investment, evident in its core that transports you to a timeless place and speaks on loss and the fear of more loss. Read Full Review

While I was impressed by this offering from Black Mask Studios I am saddened that my time with the four kids has come to a close. But who knows"every good heist crew has to start somewhere. This could be the origins of a crime team that fans could really get behind. Read Full Review

This series has been phenomenal the whole way through. So much action, comedy, heart, and emotion in each issue. This issue ends the series in a fantastic way that I didn't see coming, though I don't think I wanted to. The build up and execution was near perfect. I can't recommend this book enough. 4 Kids Walk Into A Bank is easily one of my favorite comics of all time.

I thought this was a great ending to what I thought was a pretty good series. While there are some things I didn't enjoy as much as others throughout the 5 books, this has all but made up for them. I think if I would have read them all in a row it would have been better as well. Sometimes there were big gaps between issues that it made me forget somethings that happened before. Overall, the art was pretty fantastic and like I said, this was a great last issue. Really surprised by the ending too, but that makes it all the more better.
