The Fandom Post - Josh Begley
Jun 15, 2016As much as I enjoyed the first story arc, Jughead 7 may be my favorite Jughead comic so far. Zdarsky and this character were made for each other, I think, and Derek Charm's inclusion creates a nice visual break from the previous six issues, cementing that the Stanger story is over and we're moving on to something new. We The Nerdy - Jack Johnston
Jun 16, 2016Zdarsky manages to bring back some of the old charm that first made the series so popular while bringing forward new ideas and themes that are sure to keep it fresh. This story and the way it's handed will be quite different from our first foray some months back but so far Chip and Derek are doing an excellent job to maintain such a high quality of comedy and the more sincere moments are definitely something to be really proud of. If you haven't been keeping up with Jughead or Archie, don't worry this is a perfect jumping on point and you simply MUST pick it up this week (if you don't, I'll know). Read Full Review

Jun 13, 2016I’m really excited to read the rest of this story arc. Zdarsky and Charm make a really good creative team, and I have no doubt that they can make this arc as magical as we all remember Archie to be. Keep reading to see Archie and Jughead get eaten by a bear (maybe)! Read Full Review

Jun 16, 2016This is another funny and clever issue of Jughead, but the real star of this book is artist Derek Charm. Charm draws maybe the cleanest line of any of the Jughead artists so far, this is a beautiful cartoon of a book. Read Full Review

Jun 14, 2016With high-publicity launches like Archie and Jughead (or to use another company as an example, Marvel and Star Wars), it's not enough to come up with a solid first arc, but you need to have a contingency plan in place to keep the book sustainable. For Archie, Veronica Fish proved to be a great, edgy successor to Fiona Staples' linework, but this first issue of Jughead seems to be a swing and a miss for both Zdarsky and his new artistic collaborator. This isn't a bad book, per se, and there is plenty of potential to this solid crew, but if the entire arc reads like this, it isn't going to just be Jughead without his crown " it's going to be an emperor without his clothes.
