Covers and artwork aside, I like what Mendoza and Seaton are attempting here. I've had a monster hunter story sized hole in my reading list for some time and so if they're able to develop the cast and keep the story related to Zombie Tramp without relying heavily upon ZT, then there's some real potential for this series. I'll likely be reading either way. Read Full Review

The Broken Infinite - Frank Rodriguez

Dollface #1 is a fun ride. The opening issue gives us a good introduction of our main heroine, her supporting cast, hints at the premise of the book and gives us an origin. Mendoza does a lot of superb art this issue, including a fantastic fight between Lila and Janey. The issue does do a lot within its pages and the origin is interesting, with its sexual tones, but add the supernatural and a connection to events within Zombie Tramp makes this book feel like a part of a large tapestry while working on its own identity. The story just seems to cut off and not really end, which hurts it a little, but not a bad beginning. Read Full Review

Overall, this is a comic Zombie Tramp fans will love, fans of a more perverted humour too. However, readers who enjoy extensive plots will be disappointed. DollFace is off to a slow start, but that may change once the arc fully kicks off. This is a character that will be cosplayed at the next comic convention though, and Dan should be proud of that. Well Mr Mendoza, once again you've given my lustfor Zombie Tramp a run for my money. It's obviously too early to say for sure, but Dollface is looking like a new obsession. Whether you were lucky and smart enough to back the KS, I think you should grab a copy. Or, perhaps multiple to include the variants like I intend to. Read Full Review
