Issues like this are why I say Ryan North's 'Fantastic Four' run is something special and what makes the comics medium itself shine.

Fantastic Four #30 is a masterclass in depression, loss, and sudden upheaval. North hasn't just gotten into these characters' heads; he's burrowed deep to find their emotional core and made them feel more human than ever.

All in all, this is as near a perfect issue of Fantastic Four as one could ask for. North and co. hit the perfect balance of heart, smarts, and humor.

Aquaman #1 sprints out the gate with a familiar but fresh feeling. Jeremy Adams is crafting something new and exciting while John Timms' provides art that matches the scope of the spectacle. If Adams and the team can keep it up, this run will shape up into something truly special.

Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #4 continues Mackay's masterful run on the character while Pramanik flexes with some inspired art choices.

MacKay and co. continue to deliver a Moon Knight book that keeps me wanting to come back for more.

Jeremy Adams and team prove in the second issue of Aquaman that they're cooking up something weird and interesting. I have no idea where it's all going, but I'm intrigued enough to come back for more.

Aquaman #4 opts to mostly be an action set piece for Aquaman's new mythic weapon, and is all the better for it.

Adams writes with a wryness that infuses the book with a fun, swashbuckling sensibility.

Fantastic Four #28 is an interesting continuation of North's run while also setting up how Doom's actions will affect the future of not only this book, but the larger Marvel universe.

MacKay and Pramanik promise to make you feel every punch in this book.

Godhood, teen angst, a widower, and the dead being brought back to life? This book has everything and I can't wait to see where it goes next.

Adams provides answers to reader questions exactly when needed to hook them once more. However, some of those answers have left me feeling unsure. Either way, I'm interested to see where the battle takes us next issue and how lasting the effects of Dagon's actions will be.

As long as you can check your expectations at the door, I think this is a book many can get into.

An Aquaman title that isn't afraid to be equal parts daring, goofy, and mysterious.

Adams provides a solid Aquaman title but I wish he would find that spark from the first issue and carry it through month to month.
