All in all, The Playwright is a thoroughly enjoyable read and another top comic from Top Shelf. Lets hope there is a sequel sometime soon.

A splendid start to a rather promising comic book character and one I intend to keep a close eye on.

Much like the last issue, the story moves at a rollicking pace and never slows down, just like a good comic should! Every panel contains action or tension of some sort, either with Velocity arguing with a member of Cyberforce or with Carin dodging Paines robots attacks. As always, the artwork is great but sometimes the panels can be overly cluttered on a page and it can confuse the reader. This is my only gripe and the ending leaves you craving more of Ms Taylors adventures. Bring on issue three!
