I've been enjoying the series and dynamic of the new team. It's nice to see a little bit of downtime as we prepare for the next big dose of craziness. It could be all the hype over Red Hulk being in the issue but I simply wanted more. I have been waiting for a year to see how he will interact in a team setting. With the return of the Infinity Gems...the Avengers are going to need all the help they can get.

This is a great time to be a Green Lantern fan. Even though this is supposed to be a book about just Hal Jordan and we're seeing so many other characters thrown in, it all works so nicely. The

The biggest obstacle a first issue faces is trying to set up the entire series. I can't say this issue is chock full of action but we get some major seeds planted here. Seeing Norman calmly doing nothing is almost scarier than seeing him in action. That image on the cover says it all. There's something going on in that wacky mind of his. The backup by Warren Ellis adds some backstory and further peeks my interest to see how all the pieces are going to fit together. Norman has something big planned and you'll want to see how it plays out.
