A strong follow-up to the previous issue. Well balanced mix of character arcs and world-building. Peppered with a unexpected reveal. Highly enjoyable.

A finale that doesn't disappoint and leaves no stone upturned within its 12 issue long plot.

A very diverse second issue. The art overshadows the plot but has one hell of an interesting cliffhanger which would make an excellent follow-on point

Dark Engine continues to grow as a strong title, both the writing and artwork are vastly improving from issue to issue. The slow burning plot continues to create intrigue and cannot wait to see the payoff for the end of the current arc

Dark Engine #4 gives more clues and some answers to a few questioned carried through the issue since issue 1. Fun, gory and vibrant this issue , is a true showcase of color and pencil work

A grim return to form for the series and offering more backstory on the savaged earth- Dark Engine #5 is a must read for any on-going fans and new readers.

A decent issue but heavily bogged down by the plot and setup for the next overarching story arc. Optimistic for the next issue though.

A break from the usual storyline but does not harm the main storyline in anyway. The creative team are on top form and are building to greater events within the series. Looking forward to the next issue.

In all East of West #16 grants an amazing opening to the second year of the apocalypse: fast, fun and gruesome at points, it pulls together great drama and spectacular action scenes enough to please any current fan of the series.

Another excellent chapter in the series, East of West #17 offers new developments and expands current relationships built in the previous issues. Please note this issue is not friendly to new readers as the references made come within The Apocalypse Year One (East of West Issues 1-14), stocked at all good LCS'.

Perhaps the strangest chapter in the series- few reveals are made in relation to the main cast and the issue contains some of the most disturbing but intricate artwork seen so far within the series. Easo of West #18 is a slow burner but not to be considered as a filler issue

A satisfying duo team-up issue with strong character development that will sure to shake up the series in future issues.

Overall East of West: The World is a great issue within the series, giving insight into how detailed both Dragotta and Hickman made this apocalyptic America. It's light on traditional drawn story-content but more than makes up for it with the stylistic fact files and the teasers yet to come in the series. Now we await issue 16, and the coming Apocalypse cannot come soon enough.

An intriguing start to a four part-mini series, catering to fans of the film and new readers alike. Disarming, eerie and wonderful to look at, it would make itself at home within any size of monthly/weekly pull-list.

A strong second issue and a great introductory issue if you are late in reading the series. Worth picking up if you are a Kaiju fan or want an intro to the genre.

A new take on a post apocalyptic future Earth; interesting to read. However the art does not quite live up to the story and is difficult to engage with at times.

A great issue for developing the main characters. A close look at how desperate and discourage this alternate world is and a dramatic rise of quality with the art style. Can't wait for issue 4.

Great exposition with a few reveals building up towards a new arc. Written and artistic talents still shine throughout the series. Looking forward to issue 6

A nice departure from the usual intensity of the series with a great human moments. Both terrifying and uplifting it also serves as a great foundation for new storylines.

An intriguing chapter in the Nailbiter series, full of surprise reveals and developments. Not friendly to new readers as there's quite a few references to previous issues but worth picking up if you have caught up to this issue

A great installment in the Nailbiter series issue 10 delivers shock twists and reveals that contribute to the on-going mythos in the most unexpected of ways.

A spectacular and bloody first issue of the now third arc of the series. Williamson and Henderson continue to weave a gory web of secrets and intrigue that entertains as much as does horrify.

A fast paced issue that hints at the deeper mysteries in the series whilst acting as a great transition for a new direction for the series.

A great balance of both Hack/Slash and Nailbiter- it doesn't interfere with the ongoing stories of either titles and their crossover compliments either series.

Protectors Inc is lacking in definition , particularly in terms of the art style. It feels tried and remains too heavily off of older heroic architypes. Can't see this on a monthly pull-list unless you happen to be a fan of 60's-70's comics.

A solid first issue that brings to life a Rasputin never seen on the page or screen. Enough to give a taste of his youth and his future self, theres a lot of intrigue in seeing the transition from the boy to man.

Another excellent chapter in this fresh take on the Russian legend. Cinematic and very stylistic, a fine addition to the comics that came out this week.

Rasputin #3 offers a few new developments and a shocking turn of events. On the other it also acts as non direct Christmas story without feeling heavy handed.

This issue marks the beginning of the more common known history of Rasputin and his eventual rise to power. Powerful story filled with great warmth and despair. Worth checking out if you are a new or on-going reader- pick it up at your LCS while you can.

A great issue that adds great depth to Rasputin and explores the more violent aspects of early 1900's Russian history. Greater things are on the horizon- Keep your eyes on this title!

A great new chapter in the series that ties into the new history of the character and brings closure to the factual side of his life.

A very strong first issue with a intriguing story and near flawless artwork. Red One is fresh breath in both Image's long publishing line and the comic market. Pick this up if you can on Wednesday at your LCS.

A vibrant and fun thrill from start to finish Red One #2

Rumble#1 offers an original concept and and a possibly iconic new character to the Horror-Comic genre. Equally fun, terrifying and funny, this first issue shows a lot of potential for an on-going series.

Slow starting but with a solid action packed story that adds more details to Rathraq's agenda. Good potential for expansion and fantastic art. Worth picking up even if you can't grab issue 1

A fine origin story with some hilarity mixed in , Rumble #3 makes for an entertaining and fascinating read. Also a great starting point for those who've yet to obtain Issues 1 and 2

A great issue in the series, focusing more on characters than action. Another step towards Rathraq reclaiming his body.

A fitting conclusion to the series first arc

A great introductory issue for new readers and perhaps a title for younger readers or old fans of the cartoon.

A great issue that will hopefully starts to lay the foundations for new mission statements and realtionships. Ellis and Howard have crafted a thought provoking issue with great ease and boundless optimism

A great show of character development and plot escalation. Ellis and Howard have yet again created another diverse and tension filled chapter in this series.

Trees #8 is a catastrophic chapter within the series. Bittersweet, perhaps it might even divide the fans currently reading. The issue sets the stage for establishing new characters and strengthening current ones.

Great start of the series' new direction and an interesting change in tone. Worth grabbing if you still find it on the self or a welcome part to the third trade collection.

Another finely designed chapter in the life of Agent Zero. This book continues to push the spy into new directions and themes which are starting to stretch its line between the surreal and its perceived normality.

Zero# 13 is slow burning story that opens out into full adrenaline rush. Punches are pulled and bullet's fly as Agent Zero starts to come into his own quickly becoming one of Image's most impressive Protagonists. Grab this issue from your LCS while you still can

Zero #14 offers quite a few pivotal shocks and captures a relentlessness that puts issue 13 to shame. Not new reader friendly by any means but if you're an undecided fan, pick this up while you can.

An otherworldly and very confusing issue but still enjoyable.
