Yumi: 00EX is a bit of a misfire unfortunately, the script is weak and at times veers into some territory it would really rather avoid, the artwork, whilst strong, can only hide a poor script so much. Not to mention its rather out of date references. At the end of it all Yumi: 00EX is just out of touch and out of time.

Bright and brash, Sicko rips through you like a burning fever. The virulent Valentine kicks ass and is reason enough to pick up the comic book. If you’re sick of melodramatic medical dramas and want them with a little more spice, Sicko should be on your pull list.

There’s a lot to like in Killer Influences, it’s fresh, it’s fast, and it’s fun. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but for those who love a good crime story this will be right up their alley. You just have to hope that Melvin isn’t waiting there as well.

What we have here in Bad Thoughts is a comic that demands a second look, it asks us to confront realities that lie dormant in many peoples mind, its a straight forward story that doesn’t look to subtext to confront the world around us, instead, looking it bare in the face asks us: What are you going to do when the bad thoughts take over?

The Ring: The Man Who Beat the Man #1 is one of the most exciting new comics of the year. Writer Gail Simone deeply understands what makes the comeback special, that it isn’t what happens before the fall that matters, what matters is what you do once you get back up.
