Tired of paying .99 a comic from the big two for stories you couldn't give a damn about? Image Comics and other publishers are stepping up to the plate with some really good an unique stories - throw them the damn ball.

If you haven't jumped on the thrilling roller coaster that is Irredeemable yet, you're definitely missing one hell of a ride.

The website credits them as Issue 0 and Issue 1, but the credits inside the PDF's have them both listed as issue zero, thus my confusion. I think once the editorial aspects of the book are hammered out and a little more clear, this book shows serious promise.Once it hits the printing presses and starts appearing in your local comic shops, definitely pick this up. Until then, download the free copies on the Sunset GL website and demand more of "The Conjuror".

After the first eighty-four pages in this coffe table style comic book, I'm looking forward to reading the next installment, Cloudhopper #2.

Special Notes: This issue of Dynamite Pilot contains graphic imagery of sexual slavery / human trafficking.

For the paltry sum of three dollars, pick this one up for your kid and inspire a new generation of comic book readers - or simply pick it up for yourself. It'll be three dollars well spent in a four dollar per comic world.

Be forewarned, this book is probably not for the faint of heart and contains graphic imagery of horrendous acts as well as nudity.

Who is the man in the mask with the Pinwheel Press logo?

As seems to be the trend lately, the price tag on this is a hard to swallow $3.99 but if you're going to drop four bucks on a comic, reward the creators behind this book for telling a brand new story that isn't just another reboot or re-imagining.

Admittedly, I was a bit apprehensive about whether I'd like these "Stan Lee" books or not. Starborn has eased those concerns and I'd recommend this book to new and old comic book fans alike.

All in all, this issue wasn't fantastic but it wasn't bad. Every title has filler issues and it seems to me that this is a bridge to something more interesting.

Black and white comics are hard to pull off and while this issue wouldn't be my pick for the "Best Black and White Comic of 2011″, you can't beat the price and it's worth a read.

Campfire's mission statement states that they wish to educate and entertain young minds and while it may not be targeted for an older audience, I think it's safe to say that they've accomplished entertaining and educating any young minds that might pick this up.

For five big ones, I can't really recommend this one.
