Overall I feel that the story while lacking in some of the backstory at this point is a very solid start to the series and I am very much looking forward to seeing how Elenas journey continues and evolves, Im also looking forward to seeing more of the bleak desperate Earth portrayed in this first issue.

This series is a rather short one with only 4 issues planned so the writer seems to be focusing on the emotional journey for Elena and those around her instead of filling in specifics of her journey and I think it makes a lot of sense doing this as it keeps things more compact and exciting for the reader and it helps to make Elena a much more interesting and relatable character. I'm very much looking forward to next month's issue.

Overall the story was quite nice and the art was gorgeous as ever and it was nice to see another world instead of just focusing on the two primary worlds but I can't help wanting more of the backstory and stories of the supporting characters though that can always be done in a spinoff series.

Overall I felt that the quality of the art provided was much more akin to a draft with characters not receiving adequate detailing for my liking and backgrounds feeling very generic and I felt that the stories were cut off too prematurely as well as possibly a bit too much focus on Ichabod whos past features heavily through the TV show but if youre a fan of the show then its an interesting read and gives more of an insight into the characters you know and love.
