This is a fantastic issue that gives excellent insight into Sharon Carter's world and current state of mind. Brubaker's dialogue and narration is superbly crafted and he captures Sharon so well that when she has a "date" in this issue, as a longtime Cap fan, I felt uncomfortable with her doing that. This issue is super important to what's coming and Brubaker is on the verge of yet another Captain America epic.

This is a great start to Ennis' swan song on Punisher MAX. I really hate to see him go, especially with the quality of small press books he is putting out. However, once again he connects the dots, builds a strong supporting cast and creates yet another compelling situation of the hunter becoming the hunted.

There is so much to talk about in this issue, so much great dialogue, excellent narrative, superior character development and a story that is beyond fantastic. Never is the pacing too slow or the dialogue too expositional. This is Stracynski at his finest. Sure, part of me wants this group to encounter Tony Stark and even Bucky as Captain America, but the other part of me doesn't want these characters to have anything to do with the 616 universe. Should they? Probably, but they don't need to. There's just so much to love about this series even after two issues. Again, the writing and the character development in this issue is on par with greatness. Even if superheroes aren't your cup of tea, if you leave the store without this issue, something is wrong.
