If the point of this book is to attract new readers to an old franchise, Conan the Slayer is just good looking and right-to-the-point enough to do the job.

Bottom Line: Despite being light on plot progression, the second issue is every bit as refreshingly fun and immersive as the first. Definitely worth coming back for more next month.

Leave it to Mark Millar to give us a book that offers a teaspoon of setup, hits you over the head with knockdown, drag out action and still manages to be an AMAZING book.

Well choreographed action, quality characters and Declan Shalvey doing A+ artwork, this issue does a great job showing off what Warren Ellis fans love about his work. But it's not newcomer friendly. But still awesome.

A visually compelling, unique enough Bond tale to separate itself from the rest of the mythos while still staying true to what we love about it.

The various plot points are a bit frantic, but all the action and quality art balances it out well enough to keep you on board until next month.

This issue, being primarily a setup checkpoint in the plot, isn't the most exciting but it still represents the kind of narrative style that makes Lazarus a solid Rucka offering.

It's a good book, but a rushed one. If you really like Lobster Johnson, this is your moment, but it's not going to bring in any new readers.

In case it's unclear from the last 300 words or so, Moon Knight is still fucking fantastic

Bottom Line: Old Man Logan is off to a tightly written, gorgeous looking start. If every issue goes like this, Bendis' sequel will end up surpassing Millar's original.

A decent offering but not among the strongest of the series so far. But even at half speed, this book is still more of a must have than a LOT of material out there. I mean"Winter Soldier has been rebooted at least three times in two years.

It took long enough to get here, but Bendis/Oeming's big finale to Vol. 1 was good enough that I'm not offended.

Kindt's material is readable and keeps you interested in where the story's going, but it could have been arranged better. However, the art is still easy on the eyes and the writing is still strong enough that it's not a dealbreaker.
