We left Haruaki Abe and his students of Class 2-3 in Kyoto for their school trip. They could have never imagined that they'd encounter three gods with a bone to pick with Abe-sensei and that they would end up shattering his soul into pieces, that the students had to catch and put back together. However, thanks to this Haruaki finds out the truth about his power and the history behind the school president and the captain of the Tengu troupe, as their lives have been intertwined for centuries.

Associate Professor Akira Takatsuki's Conjecture #2
March 17, 2024
The pace of the story is fast. It's during each case that hints are dropped about the past and the possibility that supernatural creatures exist. The author, Migake Sawamura, does an amazing job in intertwining reality with elements from folklore, thus not giving a clear answer about the existence of mythological beings. By how the story is going so far, I don't believe we'll need to wait for many volumes before we get a concrete proof if the series is more 'realistic' or 'supernatural'.

The story is also about first love and overcoming one's fears. Josee is afraid of tigers (ergo the name in the title), but when Tsuneo needs her, she faces it. Is she not afraid anymore? No, she still is, but she's willing to face it and move forward. Seriously, this manga needs to be read for all of the feelings that arouses in its readers.

Galdardia resembles Europe during the Middle Ages for its architecture, while the fashion is a mix between medieval and 'adventurer' clothingoptimal for hunting monsters. And of course, let's not forget the magic element. The videogame-like skills window that Luciel possesses seems to be unique to him as Galdardia's inhabitants haven't shown yet if they see it as well.

Welcome To Demon School! Iruma-Kun #1
June 3, 2023
Iruma is a 14-year-old boy. His upbringing has been quite strange, with his parents throwing him into dangerous situations since he was a one-year-old and learned how to walk. Their careless attitude has shaped Iruma to be a person who is incapable of refusing to help anyone, thus developing amazing survival skills. Not even his parents' last endeavour that ended up with them selling Iruma to a demon could make him say ‘no'. Whisked away to the Netherworld, Iruma is astounded by the demon Sullivan's request for him to be his grandchild. Neither does he expect to have to attend the demon school Babyls where his new grandfather is the chair-demon.

Welcome To Demon School! Iruma-Kun #2

I tend to gravitate toward manhwa more than manga, but Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-Kun is one of the few manga series that I still enjoy and follow. All the characters and the adventures that Iruma and his friends go through put a smile on your face, and they make you want to be at Babyls with them.

Welcome To Demon School! Iruma-Kun #11
March 30, 2025
While the story is still full of comedy and school life anecdotes, I think with the training for the Harvest Festival, it takes on a slightly more serious tone as it sets the foundations for the demons in the Misfit Class to climb the demon ranks and grow both personally and in terms of their power.
