Gailey does a good job of capturing how those close to the victim can easily miss the signs. Haining and Nalty set the tone with the artwork and set the series up for a nerve wracking finale.

The Patron #1 is a cool, horror-esque take of an up and coming artist meeting their untimely death. John J. Pearson artwork brings an amazingly eerie feel to this book with compositions that art right out of a film. Christian Ward’s writing drags a bit at times but sets it up well for the next issue.
