The story starts off with events that happened a week ago, and it's not hard to pick up where the story left off in the previous issue. The actual wedding scenes don't take place until the middle of the story, and Northstar starts to have doubts about the wedding, and he wonders is he's planning this too quick. I was able to relate to this, in my personal experience, I felt the same way on my wedding day, so this made this issue more realistic to me. In real life, people do get pre-wedding jitters, and they didn't leave that out of this story.

Overall, this may not be an issue to get for new readers, or for people who haven't read the "Ends of the Earth" story arc yet. This issue truly is for the hardcore Spider-Man fans, such as myself, but overall, this issue is average.

After reading this issue, I wouldn't mind picking up on this series. All the elements that make up this title make Batwing a great read. "Night of the Owls" continues in the Batman family of books all this month. Batwing #9 has 32 color pages and retails for $2.99 US, on sale now at comic shops or on digital apps.

Overall, Detective Comics #1 is worth the purchase. Of the new 52 titles, this is one title I was really looking forward to, and it's satisfying. Tomeu Morey's coloring compliments each page of this title. I didn't have any spoilers in this review, because this issue is a must-read in my opinion, and readers should experience that shocking feeling, when gazing their eyes on that last page! This issue also continues the Two-Face back-up story that has been in previous issues. The back-up story wasn't my favorite part of this issue, and it would've been better if the main story was the main focus throughout the issue. With issue one, I was highly satisfied. There's not a lot going on here with both Spider-Men, but every story needs a beginning; a brief glimpse of the main character. Issue two should really deliver more action, and more importantly, interaction with Peter and Miles. It'll be interesting to see what Peter can teach the young Miles. It's hard to recommend this issue to a new reader who is just getting into comics, without reading previous issues of Teen Titans, Superboy, and Legion Lost. It's also good to have some sort of character background with Caitlin Fairchild. Overall, this issue wasn't as great as I thought it would be. Will I pick up issue 2? Perhaps, but only time will tell. The character development and the team itself has to be the main focus here, especially for new readers.
