It's a strong improvement from the last issue, which is something that can be said for most elements of this extremely well made comic book. Do yourself a favor and buy it!

Even if the story doesn't travel that far forward in this issue it should be read by anyone with any interest in Batman. Snyder's writing and Capullos art work in tandem to produce one of the best, most unsettling portrayals of Batman fighting his own psyche I've ever read.

As Batman #8 is the best issue of this largely great series it deserves the highest grade, and I'm beyond excited for where Snyder and Capullo will lead Batman next.

Batman #6 fails to surpass the mark set by the show stopping #5, but while not every opportunity is seized it's still a strong, action packed issue with just the right blend of moody noir, suspense and superhero action.

Batman # 7 is (as usual with this title) a solid entry made with supreme craftsmanship, but the sparks doesn't really fly due to the unnecessary amount of talky exposition. That doesn't stop this from being one of DC's absolute top titles though, and it still comes highly recommended.

Snyder and Capullo are one of the most talented creative teams working for DC right now, but while Capullo is firing on most of his cylinders here Snyder loses a lot of this issue to clumsy exposition.
