A fun and enjoyable read which provides enough comedy throughout it which will please fans of the movie, as well as newcomers to the series. It's unsure how far this story can go as it does lack in substance.

Even though the artwork doesn't complement the seriousness of this story - this still cannot take away from what is a fantastic debut issue.

Escape from New York continues the action-packed adventures of Snake Plissken. The storyline is filled with action sequences which successfully create a movie-like tone. However, at times there is just too much going on and more character development is required.

Overall it's an enjoyable and fun read, however, the pace of the issue is somewhat mismatched during key scenes. More character development is required with the current portrayals coming across as rather tame.

This is a fun read which introduces three distinct and likeable main characters. The art and colour help contribute to the story massively and helps also helps to further the comedy level. Those attending university in the summer will enjoy reading this series to find out of what life is like as a university student.

Walker does an effective job in portraying the younger version of everyone's favourite no nonsense Detective, John Shaft. Enough here to please loyal fans and those who are less familiar with the character.

Walker does an effective job in reaching a fitting conclusion to this first story-arc that has taken place over six issues. This particular issue possibly lacks any sort of substance and verges on becoming offensive. Overall, an effective issue which captures how John Shaft becomes the ruthless Cop.

Brisson does a fine job in telling a short, fun and conclusive story that, combined with the art and colour work, perfectly captures the gritty world of 'Son of Anarchy'. Fans of the show will not be disappointed and newcomers will also be able to enjoy this issue.

A fantastic story that deals with strong themes such as poverty, family and crime. Brisson perfectly transform the character of Happy into a tragic character.

The story has a strong foundation of which to build upon, however, wasted and overly-complex dialogue ensures that the quality of the opening segment isn't sustained throughout.

Milligan continues to develop his strong story and challenges the reader to ask difficult questions to themselves, A strong central character with commendable artwork that resonates with a classic 1980's Sci-fi movie.

The writers introduce a number of key themes which will challenge the reader into questioning how they would react if they were walking in the footsteps of the main character. A very good read which complements well with the gritty artwork.

At times the pace of this issue is mid-judged and the development of the story and character suffers from it. However, despite this Hester has written a fun story which captures 1930 depression-era America well and readers will enjoy if they've got a free evening.

Rahner introduces enough key and interesting themes that brings an interesting dynamic to a well-worn story. The artwork is below-average from what is expected but the strong characters help sustain the readers interest.

Unfortunately the issue doesn't reach the levels of the first edition and loses any sort of potential that was built up. The artwork does a commendable job in depicting the time period , however, ultimately the lack of substance from the issue makes this a disappointing conclusion.
