This issue The Secret Six features strong characterization. Each of the characters feel alive and unique. They each are quirky in their own special way. They act and react like real people. It really speaks to the strength of Gail Simone's writing that I can say this about the crazy cast of characters. I even liked Batgirl (I haven't read any of her new series), which was a surprise. Another testament to the writing is, while I jumped into this series late the story was still incredibly engaging.
