I want to like this, I really do. Its the direction that Ive wanted to see the new Avengers titles take since Bendis took over, and I can plainly see that hes trying, but for some reason its just not coming together. Its not a two-bullet comic, but the inconsistent tone and scrappy plotting mean I cant honestly give it three bullets either.

Green: On that point, I'm in full agreement. This has been yet another New Avengers arc which has started well, with some good ideas, only to faff around and tread water for months and end in a baffling and nonsensical non-climax.
