The art was phenomenal. There’s something familiar about Adrian Sibar's style but I can’t quite put my finger on it. This book is definitely worth the $1.99 asking price, as a matter of fact even after receiving the promotional issue for this review I still sent a little love over to the creators by paying for the book. I hope that the $1.99 price keeps the lights on wherever they are and I hope that there will be an awesome collected edition later down the line when the series is all wrapped up.

His writing and art go together so well to deliver the mayhem that literally explodes on the pages, with some intriguing conspiring and slight reveals going on in the background. I've said it before and I will say it again, this is the stuff right here that you need to read if you want a good superhero comic. Seriously, you will not be disappointed.

The Strange Talent of Luther Strode is the reason you read comic books. I stand by that because it’s the truth. The ending of this series hit the perfect climax while holding a few “Oh Snap” moments. But its biggest accomplishment was that it left me wanting more! (Wink, wink) What more could you want from any type of entertainment? I guess that’s just what you get when you put Tradd Moore’s incredible art to Felipe Sobreiro complementing colors in one book. Congrats to these gents because Luther Strode is a classic.

This issue continues the intense pace the previous issue exhibited so well by adding to the awesome action. In the finally of the issue, Tradd Moore once again steals the issue with epic skills. The final fight in the burning house looks nothing short of amazing. Not only that, there is a splash page that will demand your attention!! I know I've said this before but the combo of Sobreiro's colors and Mr. Moore art is seriously the BEST in the business! Congratulations gentlemen you've done it again.

Newcomers will have a great opportunity to enter the Godzilla universe with this book. And it’s not bad. It’s just a story scenario that we’ve had before.

My only gripe is that his first foe in this series felt a bit clumsy, clunky and flat, and not just in appearance or ethos, but like an ill fit for an introductory villain. I did, however, like Spector's detective skillz here, and his form of crimefighting - ballsy, brash and phosphorescently visible - is something I imagine I'll enjoy sinking my teeth into as the series unfolds. Huh, I'm on-board for a Moon Knight book. Welcome to 2014, everybody!

Colak's artwork, meanwhile, is nothing short of exceptional, not just in his alternately softly-rustling and harshly-shattered figure work, but also more subtly in what looks like a double-exposure to some of his lush backgrounds, making the book's whole feel, quite thematically, adrift (but not necessarily lost) in time and space. With an ending that is horrifying and shockingly powerful, it'll be all but impossible for me to not follow what is, in my opinion, the most promising thing Dynamite has put out in years.

I missed out on the Dark Horse Presents run, mostly because of the $7.99 price tag so I'm not entirely sure if this new story is a continuation of where they may have left off but either way I didn't feel lost at all, so if you missed it as well and maybe you didn’t read the first mini-series then this is a great jumping on point. The Victories has a lot of potential to be a long running comic and maybe even a movie in the vein of kick ass so you're going to want to stay along for the ride.
