The issue ends on an interesting reveal that will certainly set the groundwork for this forthcoming arc, I only wish this issue had done more for us to build up to it and make the reveal a little more clear, visually, so it could grip the reader more effectively. Black Science is a fantastic series and Rick Remender deserves to be held to a high standard. To best appreciate this single issue my suggestion would be to read issue 11 immediately before reading 12 as this is not a very friendly jumping on point and not a good example of Black Science at its best.

This is a fun and straight forward story with art that is very much at home in the current Snyder era Gotham city. Its set in a very dark era of Gotham city but the content and moral arc of the story is quite hopeful, encouraging in the reader the virtue of working together like the Bat family and to help your friends in tough times.

Whether you are a fan of vampire stories, power couples, or crime, "Graveyard Shift" is a solid read.

All said, Ms. Marvel #12 is a great one-shot Valentines story that perfectly fits the lighthearted tone of the book and the personality of the characters. G. Willow Wilson once again proves her ability to send us on a fun romp through adolescence, acne, and all.

This issue needs and deserves to be reviewed for what it is and attempts to accomplish. Despite the poorly handled transition from miniseries to one-shot finale, Prometheus Fire and Stone Omega is a must read for anyone looking for thoughtful science fiction. Pick up this issue while you can and keep an eye out for DeConnick and Alessio.

Brian Wood has resurrected an era of American history that will satisfy the history buff and the lover of good comics alike. Don't miss this issue.

What good I can say about The Surface is Langdon Foss's pencils and Jeordi Bellaire's colors communicate the psychedelic experience far better than the script. The detail shown in the strange world is well matched to the use of pleasing vibrant colors during the ecstasy and the transition to dark red colors during the bad part ending to the trip. The only potential saving grace of The Surface is that in the future we might find that this story and experimental format work better if read in the trade paperback format.

The Tithe first and foremost wants to be an original heist story exploring the contemporary topics of anonymous hacktivism and megachurch fraud, but whether he likes it or not Hawkins has been drawn into a dialogue about religion. With only the cop side of the cops and robbers story presented so far, we have the makings of an intriguing second issue.

They're Not Like Us continues to impress as a book that is well drawn and full of well-developed characters in an ever unfolding world.

"Wytches" is easily one of the best contemporary horror comic book series out now, written and drawn by two massive talents whose names command respect and sales in the industry today. This issue is a must read for anyone who likes horror, and the story content makes it as new reader friendly as the first issue.
