If you are looking to buy the perfect comic to indulge in, this issue is tailor made for you. Though I would advice the buyers to buy the one with Rafael Albuquerque's variant cover, it looks much more awesome than the way-too-dull Capullo cover.

So, do yourself a favor and buy this issue, for one cannot consider oneself a comic book fan if he/she has not yet read this series.

Another reason why you shouldn't miss this issue is that it also contains a back-up called "The Call" written By Scott Snyder & James Tynon IV with art by (the most awesome) Rafael Albuquerque. This back-up is also available in Night of the Owls booklet which is available for free HERE.

If you like good, interesting, character driven sci-fi, you should really check this out!

In my opinion, this is one of the best first issues I have read in a while.

But, the real star of this issue is artist Chris Samnee and colorist Javier Rodriguez. The compostion of each page is rock-solid- awesome and the colors are just eye popping. Samnee is proving to be a worthy replacement to Paolo Rivera . On the whole, the issue is a must buy, keeping it's cons aside.

The art is nice, which is the only good thing about this comic. It has a nice, clean style that fits the futuristic setting quite well. Cermak does suffer from same-face syndrome slightly, but not to any meaningful extent. The inks are well-done and clean.

In case you love the Godzilla movies and dig punch-lines and awesome Pulpy titles, then this issue's tailor made for you.

And finally a hat's off to colorist Adriano Lucas, whose colors are the only thing that keeps the issues alive.
