A middling comic, but one that still glows with potential.  I feel like I said the same thing last month, but that doesn't make this any less enjoyable of a read.  At the very least, this month is better insofar as it doesn't have any real head-scratcher moments.

The really good present day portion is handicapped by a bizarre issue format/structure and a comparative yawner of a Nick Fury story.

Despite my gripes, this is really only a slightly weaker issue from an exemplary series.

Definitely more good than bad, but still something of a mixed bag.

A better issue and one that has me looking forward to, rather than dreading, to see how Hickman wraps this thing up.

I realize that events elicit some pretty strong negative reactions in people these days, but this is really quite good and deserves a look from even the staunchest event-hater.

Way better than it had any right to be.

A wonderful send-off, one that's a great farewell, but also a fantastic prelude to whatever madness Hickman still has in store.

If you're at all a Punisher fan, you need to be reading what may be the most critically underrated Marvel comic.
