I know that opinions waxed hot and cold on "Natalie" as she appeared in Iron Man 2, but this has been proving to be a strong series since it's very start. Anybody who's excited about the long-discussed prospect of a Black Widow movie will be quite satisfied by this book, as it not only gives the super-spy her own feature, it also presents a plot uniquely tailored to her oft-duplicitous character. "Black Widow" may feel like it's spun the wheels when actually it's been moving along quicker than you think. A spy trick perhaps. The reveal at the end promises for a feisty conclusion next issue. It's fun to read a Marvel comic that plays like an old paperback pulp, but with more costumes involved. This three issue arc has built up quite well, and I hope it can stick the landing. It's grim spy noir and it keeps the pages turning fast enough to keep your seat warm on this roller coaster of intrigue and delights. Read Full Review

Okay we've moved on from Acuña's art!

The action here was pretty good not gonna lie. Also, in this arc (2 issues in) alone, Natasha has used her gadgets more than she did in the previous arc in it's entirety (5 issues long). Which is to say, there's many ways to tell a Black Widow story.

You gotta love how spy stories (in any media) use real life places and events into the story. It actually blurrs the lines sometimes.

Leave it to Natasha to have a fake abduction staged in order to scare someone into telling her what she wants, to have said fake abduction turn into a real abduction lol.

There's nowhere Natahsa can go or any fake identity she can take to hide right now, and shit catches up to her more
