This corrected a lot of problems I had with the first issue. I almost wish they'd skipped to this sooner. I know that you don't want to put all your cards on the table right away, but still. If you enjoyed the more dangerous, unpredictable side to Black Widow in the movie, you're going to love this, which captures that while still staying true to the comics' history. And, now, I'm definitely intrigued to see where this "Xavier Files"-style storyline goes. Is this Natasha's return to her wicked ways? Or is she being framed? Read Full Review

As for Daniel Acuña, I’m sure plenty of fans really miss his work in the X-Men Legacy book, but I’m very happy to have him working on Black Widow. While his style may be polarizing, I find his work to be a great fit for this type of book. I’m certainly not opposed to him staying on this book for many issues to come. Read Full Review

    This is a spy thriller!!!!!!

The negative parts first, the small amount of action and the limited fight scene is the weakest part of this issue. It looks great, is just lacking energy. (Something Acuña did get better at with time i.e. Avengers Twilight) However, I believe the theme of mistrust and betrayal matches perfectly with Acuña's storytelling. Everyone looks suspicious, doubtful or just blantly skeptical of Natasha and even each other (Refering Tony, James, Clint and Logan)

We still don't know who is gunning for Natasha but the pieces are slowly being put together.

Also, was not expecting the lewd panel by Acuña so there's that too... 👀😅

Another neatly-drawn, espionage-mystery thriller from Liu and Acuna. I really love this series so far but my overall enjoyment of this run really depends on if I’m satisfied or not with the various mysteries started throughout these first 2 issues
