Feb 01, 2012That said, this is the year of Avengers vs. X-Men, so this story is definitely the type of thing that would stir up tensions between the groups. It's hard to imagine Iron Man and Captain America will just shrug off the fact that they were assaulted by a mutant who ultimately wanted to straight-up murder them. The Avengers: Children's Crusade also features both teams quarreling, so come AvX #1, they will definitely have a lot to fight about. Read Full Review

Feb 01, 2012We're over halfway through the miniseries. Cable has already fought Falcon, Captain America and Iron Man. Cable's fight with Red Hulk is providing some interesting tidbits along with the flashback (to the future before he arrived in the present and...you get the idea) where we find out how Cable returned and where he got his weapons. We all love a good superhero vs. superhero fight but this is starting to feel a little forced. Cable is desperate and perhaps not thinking rationally but it's almost too much. It will be interesting to see how the events here will fully lead into AVENGERS VS. X-MEN and what Cable's final (?) fate will be. Read Full Review

Feb 02, 2012This issue is an example of a time when a fantastic artist can elevate a script and make the total package better than the story warrants Read Full Review

Feb 01, 2012"Avengers: X-Sanction" needs to rally a great deal if it's going to end on a high note. This should be getting readers excited for "Avengers vs. X-Men" and asking retailers to reserve them a copy. If that's going to succeed, Loeb needs to pull a new plot point out of his hat. Right now, it's losing ground. Read Full Review

Feb 03, 2012The issue has a lot of things happening in it, but falls flat in the emotional department. The art is still a far cry from "bad", but it does wane down a bit. It's a lot less fun than the last two issues, which, unfortunately, works only against this series. Read Full Review

Feb 01, 2012I would say not pick this issue up or any issues in the past for this series. Maybe the reason I am so disappointed with this series is because I had such high expectations. I will probably still pick up issue 4 to see what happens in the end and because I picked up that last 3 issues. But I do not recommend this issue for you guys to pick up. Read Full Review

Feb 04, 2012Interestingly, as each month ticks by I find myself getting more excited about Avengers Vs. X-Men. I think the idea and possibly the book itself has a lot of merit. But my excitement is growing in spite of this prequel miniseries, not because of it. If all I was basing it on was this, I may pass on AVX entirely. Read Full Review
