This was a fun read no matter what I may have said above. I like this as a foundation of where to go from here. It's obvious that this is the beginning of a much more intricate and personal story arc and I'm here for it! The pacing is perfect and the panel layout is easy on the eyes and good for interaction. MEDIEVAL SPAWN #1 returns to Medieval England to follow Sir John during one of his early adventures. Rory McConville's script sets up a perfectly satisfactory tale about fighting demons, and Marco Itri's art is solid. That said, McConville's script lacks a strong hook, and Itri's art, while good, doesn't have that distinctive Spawn flare. Read Full Review
