Moments before returning to Earth, the crew of Voyager are betrayed by insurgents hidden on board! With her ship’s deflector dish broken and the ship itself out of her control, Janeway must convince the aliens that Starfleet means them no harm if she’s ever going to get her found family home. If that weren’t enough to handle, there’s a ticking clock to contend with: Tuvok’s disease has accelerated, and he must get home to mind-meld with a family member to cure himself with Fal-tor-voh…before it’s too late!

The story and art for Star Trek: Voyager Homecoming #2 is another homerun for this miniseries (and for IDW's track record of high-quality Star Trek storytelling in general). If you're in the mood for another thrilling mission with the (mostly) original Voyager crew, check out this book. Read Full Review

    SciFiPulse - Ian Cullen Oct 27, 2025

This story continues to make clever use of Voyager's past encounters with Species 8472 to drive its narrative. The Hierarch is clearly upset that Voyager teamed with the Borg to pass through their space, which becomes a major sticking point in Janeway's attempts at communication. Species 8472 view this as a violation of the Federation's First Contact protocolsa classic case of Janeway's "cowboy diplomacy coming back to bite her. I also loved the callback to the episode In the Flesh, highlighting that the Species 8472 who posed as Boothby and Archer were traitors. These connections to the show's history give the issue extra depth and reward longtime fans with subtle continuity touches. Read Full Review
