Santa-as-killer has been a fixture of holiday horror, and yutide homicide for a very long time. The fusion between Santa Claus and a classic T-800 terminator unit feels like a very natural fusion. And, honestly, although it really is just sort of a one joke idea, Ganucheau does a brilliant job of making it run the entire length of a full-length issue. In spite of this, it really has no business being anywhere near as entertaining as it is. It might have all of the thematic weight of a light, stocking stuffer, but Ganucheau and company deliver something that feels quite a bit more resonant than the cheap bit of gimmickry it could have been. The Terminator: Santa Claus is Coming to Town #1 is an excellent holiday tie in, that captures not just the holiday season, but also The Terminator franchise. Where a lot of holiday specials feel forced and sacrifice either the holiday part or the actual franchise part, this issue nails both. If you are looking for a great holiday book at the LCS this week, you should definitely grab a copy for yourself and the Christmas lovers in your circle. Read Full Review

Fighting terminators is usually a bloody and serious business. And certainly there are no shortage of gratuitous deaths in The Terminator: Santa Claus is Coming to Town #1. But it also manages to be a strangely lighthearted story talking about some of the holidays fun traditions. By no stretch is it required reading for Terminator fans. A strange story about the appearance of a terminator with an unknown purpose on the eve of a holiday. Who was subsequently eliminated with a huge laser cannon by a rebel squad. It's probably funny.
