KPB Comics - Phillip Creary Oct 15, 2025

Wonder Woman #26 is a strong, if polarizing, read. The issue completely succeeds by using the absurd premise of Mouse Man to deliver a deeply political and relevant story about the creation of a fascist state built on paranoia and fear of the 'other.' Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Oct 15, 2025

Kings story draws on some provocative ideas of heroism and villainy that seem to be circulating through the margins of the popular superhero genre. Wonder Woman remains a fascinating character with Kings characterization even if shes not really the central focus of the issue. She is the selfless heroism against which Mouse Mans own twisted behavior is contrasted. Its a fun contrast that seems to work quite well throughout another satisfying issue that fits into a storyline that seems to be cleverly building on ideas and themes that King had bee exploring since the current series began just over two years ago. Writer Tom King takes a step into the past to add key context to Mouse Man's tyrannical control over this island and how his reign was set into motion, and stepping outside of the moment-to-moment events on the island helps refocus the series immensely. It's a welcome change of pace overall, but when we get to the collision we've been waiting to see, that context comes back into play in truly surprising ways, and it seems like the story is now moving full speed ahead as opposed to filling time further establishing its world, which has been holding back the bigger story at play. AIPT - Marvel Maximus Oct 15, 2025

Wonder Woman #26 draws real-life parallels for the golden lassoed goddess to tackle. As much as we wish it wasn't true, fascists on private islands are villains that have managed to leave the comic book page, but it's always enjoyable to see someone like Wonder Woman put them in their place. If only Wonder Woman as a character is as fleshed out as Daniel Sampere's illustration of mice. Read Full Review
