This chapter more than most spreads out to include the rest of the League and begin to paint for them a tapestry that needs to be unraveled. Ross' artwork and sensibilities create iconic visuals in such a way that the League can be recognized without their uniforms. Which three women share a table at a posh restaurant? We know who they are, and Kreuger and Ross pose the question of what happens when the villains learn of the heroes secrets far more intelligently than half-witted Big Stupid Events. The way Alex Ross depicts Brainiac in these scenes with Aquaman are just straight out of a horror film. Speaking of horror, poor Martian Manhunter, talk about living out tour worst nightmare!!!
I thought it was hilarious that Joker is not allowed to play with the others and it's really getting to him lol.
We finally get an idea what the villains are up to and it's pretty cool the way they're all worming together.
Far as the art, just peak Alex Ross, what else is there to say?
Overwhelming drawings and a work of art beyond compare, unfortunately the story doesn't reach me at all.
