Green Arrow is the focus of this issue, which also features The Doom Patrol, The Metal Men, The Titans, Supergirl and others on the battlefield! But whose side are they on? The villains' plot to exploit the innocent may even affect the heroes' comrades, colleagues and co-combatants!
There's no doubt in my mind that Supergirl, an honorary member of the League, will be doing that next issue. Justice's story is so good and moves so smoothly that you almost take it for granted. The eye-popping visuals from the Howard Pyle of comic book art impress on each page, but the story is almost old hat. The League attack the Legion of Doom and kick ass as expected, but then the beauty of a plan that takes into account mind-readers and super powers fruits at the cliffhanger and raises the book from being really good to being great. Unfortunately, I know that the worst experiences are often remembered in as much detail as the bestso at least Justice will balance that scale for me. Read Full Review
The Joker was well used, if now cliched for the Joker, and I look forward to seeing him play out in the next installment. I will see them in one more month for issue #11, and if it holds my interest, then maybe #12. Read Full Review
Not for nothing but I was wondering before reading thisbissue, how there's 3 more issues after no.9? How much longer they will stretch this fight between the Legion and the Justice League? But I was so wrong, this issue alone gives so many angles on to the fight. Just counter measures on counter measures between the greatest minds on earth. There's a reason why Black Canary & Green Arrow are on the cover, they get to monolog (Oliver) and shine because everything was a distraction just to get Dinah to a specific spot. I've heard readers say that Alex Ross can't do action panels, this book so far dismantles any of those type of criticism. But that's just my opinion of course.
Overwhelming drawings and a work of art beyond compare, unfortunately the story doesn't reach me at all.
