    Nerd Initiative - Kat Mar 5, 2025

This comic, going in, was not what I was expecting at all. But after reading this first issue, I'm sold on this book. For fans of Ghost/Metal Music, this is for you. For fans of Horror comics, this is also for you. And for fans of really good stories, this is something you will want to check out. Dark Horse has another fantastic series on their hands. Get Your Comic On - Neil Vagg Mar 5, 2025

Overall Sister Imperator #1 is a solid start. It sells the concept perfectly whilst showing the limited, four-issue run is neatly paced to fill in the gaps from the opening kill scene. I'm a big fan of the Ghost band. I like the music and the aesthetics a whole lot. The lore, however, is not something I'm incredibly interested in. I don't really mind it, nor do I anticipate it. I see it for what it is: A marketing tool to sell the music. With that in mind, I wasn't expecting a ton from this comic. What I got was pretty good. The pacing could be a lot cleaner, and some lines don't come out as I think they were intended, but it's serviceable.
